Fruit Tartlets

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 8 Tbsp unsalted, chilled butter
  • 1 Tbsp ice water
  • 1 jar American Spoon® Sour Cherry Spoon Fruit (or any other flavor Spoon Fruit) Add to Shopping Cart
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix flour and salt. Cut butter into small pieces and work into flour with fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse meal. Sprinkle with ice water and work in until the dough can be gathered into a soft ball. Add a few more drops of water, if dough is too dry and crumbly. Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes before using.
  • Roll dough out to approximately 1/8″ thickness. Cut out 3 inch circles and fit them into the cups of a non-stick muffin tin. Prick with a fork and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Add 2 teaspoons Spoon Fruit to each pastry shell.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cut before serving.
  • Makes 12.
